The registration period to the documentary film workshop Aristoteles Workshop 2017 will be extended up to 20 May.
All those interested to register are hereby invited to access the page www.aworkshop.org and follow the indications. The registration file must contain: candidate's CV, intention letter, a link to a film or material made previously, and a recommendation letter.
The workshop's 12th Edition will be held in Bata Commune, Arad County, at “La Bade Ioane” B&B, from 3 July to 5 August 2017. The workshop has been organised for 12 years by actor Dan Nuțu, together with Cristina Hoffman, who was part of the selection committees of the Berlin and Cannes Festivals. The leading expert of this year's edition will be French documentarist Thierry Garrel.
The specialists to train and guide the participants are: Nino Kirtadze, John Appel and Tania Rakhmanova. Nino Kirtadze is a Georgia-born documentary film director, with a 
portfolio of award-winning films screened at prestigious cinema events, such as the European Film Academy Awards, Sundace Film Festival, Cannes or Toronto International Film Festivals. John Appel is a multi-awarded documentary film director and a lecturer with the Danish Film and Television Academy of Amsterdam. Tania Rakhmanova is a Russia-born director established in France, author of over 20 documentaries dealing with historical and political topics, and an Emmy Prize nominee.
The 12 participants are to work in 3-person teams (director, cameraman and editor) and will learn how to choose their subjects, how to shoot and edit a film, but also how to promote a film and look for distributors or for international film festivals. At the end, a jury made up of industry professionals is to pick r the film winner of the prize amounting to EUR 1,500.
