The International Film Festival in Sighetu Marmației Is About to Kick of


     From October 4 to 6, 2019 Sighetu Marmației will host the International Film Festival – MMIFF 2019.
     On Friday, October 4, the film Shadow (Germany, 2019), directed by Florian Fischer & Johannes Krell and awarded with the Golden Bear at the International Film Festival in Berlin, in the short film category (Best Short Film) will open the competition of the MMIFF section – Best Short Film.
     The screenings will take place in the Show Hall of the Sighetu Marmației Cultural Center, starting with 17:00.
     The list of the short films nominate for the Best Short MMIFF 2019 includes productions from Romania, France, Germany, Singapore, Kyrgyzstan, Iran, South Korea, Croatia, films selected or awarded in festivals such as Cannes, Berlinale, Annecy.
     The recent productions of the students from UNATC and from UAD (Art and Design University) Cluj Napoca will compete for the Best Romanian Student Film award and for the Best Experimental Short award.
     This year the organizers will offer the Anti Boogeyman Award MMIFF20019 trophy.
     The access is free, the audience is invited to vote for the Audience Award MMIF 2019.
     The MMIFF – Maramureș International Film Festival 2019 is supported by CNC and it is organized by Yakasha Film in partnership with  the Sighetu Marmației Mayor House through  the Cultural Center and the Sighetu Marmației Village Museum.
