The Jury of 48 Hour Film Project Braşov 2016 decided on the winners of this year's competition. All the seven teams in the competition (abc team, Andrei Nica, Epic Ideas, Neo Kino-Oki, Noobz, Retromania and The Nonsensicals), managed to submit a complete film within 48 hours and thus they were entered into the
48 Hour competition, for Best City Film in Braşov.
The three elements received by the candidates at the start of the competition were character – Marin/Maria Petcu, janitor, propos – office stapler and line – “Get up with the elevator, come down with the floor”. Also the participants drew lots on 30 film genres (mute film, comedy, adventure, fable, policier and others). They had only 48 hours to write, shoot and edit their shorts.
The Jury of 48HFP Braşov 2016 was made up of Ana Maria Moldovan, Bianca Oichea, Iustinian Turcu, Alina Floroi and Robert Elekes.
Ana Maria Moldovan has been an actress with Odeon Theatre since 2001, Bianca Oichea is
choreographer and contemporary dance performer, Iustinian Turcu is an actor, working with “Radu Stanca” National Theatre and with “Gong” Children and Youth Theatre of Sibiu, Alina Floroi is a creative person experienced in television, advertising and other creative industries, and Robert G. Elekes is a poet, winner of Iustin Panța National Poetry Contest for debut, of Mihai Eminescu National Poetry Award, of Opus Primum, of the Familia Magazine Debut Award and of the Romanian Writers Union debut award.
