The sixth edition of the Caravan Romanian Film Days marks 10 years since the Caravan 4 luni, 3 săptămâni şi 2 zile / 4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days, which brought the Palme d’Or Award-winner film in 15 towns of the country, in 2007, and is still carrying on the promotion of local film production and the revival of the cinema show idea seen as an event.
Târgoviște will be the town where the Romanian Film Days Caravan 2017 will kick off, with five titles available for viewing at the History Museum, between 30 March - 2 April. The series of screenings will be continued in Pucioasa (European Cultural Centre, 4-6 April), Fieni (Cultural Centre, 7-8 April), Vatra Dornei (,,Platon Pardău" Culture House), where the films will be screened starting on 6 April, then in Cugir (Culture House, 24-26 April). The Caravan will also reach the city of Iași (10-14 May) within the 8th Edition of the Festival Romanian Film Nights, as well as other towns in the country during May and June.
Among the titles included in the programme, mention should be made of: 6,9 pe scara Richter / 6.9 on the Richter Scale (directed by Nae Caranfil), Fixeur (directed by Adrian Sitaru), Inimi cicatrizate / Scarred Hearts (directed by Radu Jude), Două lozuri / Two Lottery Tickets (directed by Paul Negoescu), Afacerea Est / Eastern Affair (directed by Igor Cobileanski), Bacalaureat / Graduation (directed by Cristian Mungiu), Sieranevada (directed by Cristi Puiu), La drum cu tata / That Trip We Took with Dad (directed by Anca Miruna Lăzărescu), Ilegitim / Illegitimate (directed by Adrian Sitaru), Anișoara (directed by Ana Felicia Scutelnicu), 4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days (directed by Cristian Mungiu).
The event is set up by Voodoo Films and the Cinemascop Association, with the support of the National Filmmaking Centre and of local partners: History Museum of Târgoviște, European Cultural Centre of Pucioasa, Town Hall of Fieni, Town Hall of Vatra Dornei Municipality through “Platon Pardău” Culture House, Cugir Culture House, Romanian Film Nights Festival of Iași.
